Dr Bhaskar Karki is an independent Medical Oncologist, who treats most solid organ cancers, but has a special interest in gynaecological malignancies and neuroendocrine tumours.
Bhaskar trained in Brisbane and Gold Coast, then moved to Toowoomba after obtaining Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He is currently appointed as a Senior Medical Oncologist at the Toowoomba Base Hospital. He visits St Andrews and St Vincent’s Hospitals in Toowoomba.
He has a keen interest in cancer clinical trials and leads a clinical trial unit at Cancer Care Services at Toowoomba Base Hospital. He is also involved in training of oncology trainees and teaching junior staff.
He is committed to providing specialist oncology care that is evidence based, holistic and in partnership with the patients and their families. He is dedicated to providing the best possible care to the regional and rural patients.
